Welcome Back!

Last year you took technology to the teachers, now let’s take it to the classroom.  This year, you will have the opportunity to work with students in classrooms and model lessons for your colleagues. You will have the dual responsibility of teaching students and inspiring teachers.  Take a look at 32 Technology Integration Tips from Richard
Byrne

Share the tip you find most valuable to you, or your colleagues, as we work to increase the use of technology throughout the district.  Explain why this tip is so valuable.

  1. In reading 32 Technology Integration Tips I realized that many of them are pretty obvious but are not used. The reason might be that the person presenting the material is just not thinking when planning and presenting. It is easy just to go in and try to show this new material as it was something you are teaching to your students, using the old methods. When training you have to think with new technology in mind.

  2. Realizing that you don’t have to be the “tech expert” is important. Depending on the age of your students, you can have technology discussions with them focusing on their ideas about how they would like to use technology in the classroom. You’ll be amazed what they come up with!

  3. Thank you for your comment Christian. The RSS links are at the very bottom of the page. Perhaps we should put them in the sidebar. Thanks for your suggestion.
