I believe the “Box of Tricks Blog” could be beneficial. It discusses various ways to incorporate technology in the class room. All teachers that are looking for innovative ways to use technology in their classroom. I am looking for blogs and websites that involve elementary science

I still don’t really know much about how to start a blog. I enjoy reading them but I find it difficult to post a response I might have to someone else’s response. I am learning that blogs can have a positive aspect versus the negative ones I have been accustomed too. I will begin to explore various sites that include educational blogs.

I still need more time to determine which blog will be most valuable for me. I enjoyed reading some of them and I will go on learning about blogs and reading them. I am looking for blogs and websites that integrate listening, speaking, reading and writing across the curriculum, especially for ELL students.

I went to different blogs trying to find languages information. I really did not find too much. However, I found a blog to teach narrative using video clips. This was fun. I am interesting in programs connected with languages development and oral skills.

  7.   Peralta Says:

I really liked the blog that we used today voki. I can see my students having fun with it.

  8.   Mr. Schuh Says:

I find that I am not as optimistic as most of those who have already commented. I am like Maria because I need more time to really look at the blogs to decide how they can benefit me. I am able to use the internet and technology but I am deterred by some aspects. I am not really a blog person. I have started facebook and myspace and after a short honeymoon they fell by the wayside and I leave them untended. I’m going to have to work hard and discipline myself to become someone who uses the blog process.

I know that it takes a moment to figure out how to incorporate new technology into our everyday professional, and personal, lives. Our lives as educators are so busy that we cannot add things to our schedule until we see value and usefulness. In our next session we will take time to talk about how we have used blogs and hopefully this will help more of us find ways to use this technology. We will also make it a little more convenient to use. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

  10.   Joan Cansdale Says:

I have found blogs to be a powerful communication tool for students, particularly for students whose voices may not be heard very often in the classroom. Students who may not be comfortable articulating their ideas often find it easier to add their comments to the cumulative comments of their peers. A blog also gives students a “safe” place to think through their ideas in writing, and receive affirmation.

  11.   Laura Ferguson Says:

Even though I missed the am session,I enjoyed the information on learning the google docs. and reader. I will feel a little more comforable once I have more time to explore the site.
